PRETORIA - Sinkholes in Tshwane are expensive to fix. That's according to Ward 66 Councillor, Ina Strijdom.
There are over 60 sinkholes in the metro, which has a major budget shortfall.
Heavy rains have worsened the matter, with new sinkholes forming in other parts of the Capital City.
With the City having a R180 million budget shortfall, it tried knocking on the National Government's door for funding but it seems like they could get any financial assistance.
Ward 66 councillor, Ina Strijdom says the amount of money they have to fix these sinkholes can barely cover one sinkhole.
