Tshwane Council | Voting for new mayor underway

JOHANNESBURG - The Tshwane council is proceeding with the election of a new mayor on Tuesday.

The Metro has been without a leader since former mayor Murunwa Makwarela was busted for falsifying an insolvency rehabilitation certificate.

On Monday, the multi-party coalition wanted to raise a motion of no confidence against speaker Mncedi Ndzwanana.

Ndzwanana however, adjourned that sitting shortly after it started a little while ago, saying it's illegal.
