DURBAN - Police say several incidents have been reported as South African Truckers threaten to embark on a strike.
Drivers are demonstrating against companies employing more foreign nationals than locals.
Police say since Saturday, some trucks have been shot at and some have been stoned.
Spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said they are following up on three incidents of violence they suspect are related to the strike in the eThekwini area.
"We are on the roads, we're monitoring. So far, traffic is flowing," he said.
