JOHANNESBURG - Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga has welcomed over 250 new traffic officers.
The minister was launching this year’s Easter Road Safety campaign in Atteridgeville.
Chikunga says this will help curb the number of deaths on our country's roads.
"The task of achieving the reduction of 25% of fatalities on our roads looms large and requires us to employ new strategies that have a multiplier effect," she said.
"The first of those strategies is the deployment of these new officers across the length and breathe of our country."
