JOHANNESBURG - The Transnet Strike is set to enter its second week.
The United National Transport Union has rejected the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration's proposed 6% wage offer.

The union says it will continue to engage Transnet management.
Untu and Satawu have been holding out for an increase that is above the inflation rate of 7.6% after their initial demand of a hike of between 12% and 13.5%.
The strike action threatens to bring the country's economy to its knees.
