Traffic lights costing city
JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Roads and Transport Department has raised concerns over the surge in vandalism and theft of traffic lights across the province.
In the last year alone, criminals have caused over R30 million in damages.
This as the department struggles to maintain and secure infrastructure.
Over 400 intersections have been vandalised.
In certain areas, the Department has converted intersections into four-way stops to improve safety.
