Judge Irma Schoeman has dismissed his bid to have the trial dismissed.
The application by the Nigerian national and two of his co-accused, Lusanda Sulani and Zikiswa Sitho comes as the defence tries to prove that the trial has been unfair.
The trio are facing 32 charges including rape, sexual assault, and racketeering.
Omotoso remains defiant that one day he will be a free man.
And while the so-called "Man of God" continues to receive support from his congregants, the ANC Women's League in the province remains hopeful that his alleged victims will eventually get justice.

The trial has been dragging on for several years now since the arrest of the Nigerian national in April 2017.

And despite numerous delays, the National Prosecuting Authority remains hopeful that 2024 will finally see a conclusion to the trial.
NPA Eastern Cape spokesperson Luxolo Tyali said, "Now that the court has set a date for the trial to proceed, we believe that at least justice will be done at the end of the trial because the court dismissed all the applications of the entries that they made the special applications and only allowed one that relates to the conduct of the former prosecutor."

"And also even with that one she said that can only be entertained at the end of the trial."
The trial that continues to divide opinion between those representing the Jesus Dominion International Church and members of the ANC Women's League is expected to continue on the 24 June.
