JOHANNESBURG - Tim Harris has been appointed as the interim chairperson for SA Tourism Board.
This follows a meeting between Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille and three appointed persons.
Last month, the minister dissolved what she said was a dysfunctional board.
She then announced the appointment of Kholeka Zama, Tim Harris, and Vincent Zwelibanzi Mntambo to manage the affairs of the board.
The previous SA Tourism Board found itself embroiled in serious allegations.
At the centre of these allegations was the controversial R1-billion deal with English Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.
The new chair has now written to the Acting SA Tourism CEO, requesting important documents to help stabilise the board.
