JOHANNESBURG - Three people were killed in a shooting at a Sandton restaurant after an argument over the venue’s no-firearm policy turned violent.
According to Gauteng police spokesperson Brenda Muridili, a man arrived at the restaurant with his bodyguard and attempted to enter while carrying a firearm, despite the restaurant’s strict no-gun policy.
A shootout ensued, resulting in the deaths of the man and his two bodyguards.
"There was the altercation, there was shooting which resulted in three people being killed and four being injured and taken to the hospital," Muridili said.
The incident is under investigation, and the identities of those involved have not yet been released.
