JOHANNESBURG - Accused number 11 in the Thabo Bester saga has been granted R10,000 bail.
Joel Makhetha appeared in court on Tuesday alongside accused number 12, Moeketsi Ramolula, who has abandoned his bail application.

The pair are implicated in the escape of rapist and murderer Bester.
Accused number 11's cousin Thabang Mofokeng said, "today we have been vindicated."
"Even though the journey is still long. We still awaiting the trial of the court, to hear what will be the outcome. I'm certain we will come out victorious at the end of this process."
"When our brother got bail, we felt it is imperative for him. So he can come out and clear his name."
"He has been through a lot, I don't want to lie. His entire family, the people who are depending on him have been on their last leg."
"Things have been difficult for the entire family. I don't think he is capable to do a crime of that nature, however, we will await all the processes of the court, to be finalised."
