CAPE TOWN - Firefighters continue to monitor flare-ups on Table Mountain, while the fire has largely been contained in accessible areas.
The fire broke out on the slopes of Newlands Forest on Sunday, and spread to the City Bowl, Red Hill and Ocean View towards Kommetjie.

While no fatalities or damage to property have been reported, officials are warning the public to refrain from using closed trails to allow firefighters to do their work unhindered.
