Suspects arrested in connection with Fort Hare murders

JOHANNESBURG - Suspects have been arrested in connection with murders at the Fort Hare University in Alice.

The South African Police Services have confirmed that at least two people will appear in court on Tuesday.

One of them is linked to the murder of Mboneli Vesele, the bodyguard of the UFH vice-chancellor Sakhela Buhlungu.

The police minister and national commissioner will be in the Eastern Cape on Tuesday to meet with university management.

"We have managed to effect arrests and the suspects will be appearing in court tomorrow," said SAPS spokesperson Athlenda Mathe.
