Suspect taken into questioning over PMB mass murder

INANDA - One person has been taken in for questioning in connection with the murder of five family members in Pietermaritzburg.

KwaZulu-Natal police launched a massive manhunt in the wake of the killings believed to have happened on Tuesday night.

All victims sustained fatal head injuries and a bloodstained axe was found at the scene.

The motive is unknown at the moment and police are appealing to the public to come forward with information.

Six suspects were killed, and three arrested, in Inanda Thursday morning.

Police have been investigating a group involved in different crimes that led them to the house.

Automatic rifles were also discovered on the scene.
