Suspect arrested in Motherwell court shooting

GQEBERHA - A suspect has been arrested by the Eastern Cape’s anti-Gang unit, after a 42-year-old Sergeant was shot and killed at the Motherwell Magistrate Court in Gqeberha.

Police investigations show the suspect entered the court building shortly after it opened.

He then disarmed shot and killed the officer with the state firearm.

Police on site opened fire and the suspect sustained gunshot wounds.
