CAPE TOWN - Demonstrators supporting a Cape Town teacher who has spoken out against alleged sexual harassment are demanding that the accused be suspended.
25-year-old, Kelly Manus, a former teacher at Symphony High School in Belhar has accused a former colleague of sexually violating her.
Manus took to social media, in a video that has now gone viral, claiming she was bullied and victimised after reporting the incident to the school’s acting principal, who is also the alleged perpetrator’s wife.
Western Cape Education Department bosses say the matter is being investigated and that Manus is currently in another teaching post at a different school.
