JOHANNESBURG - Despite several challenges, the last group of South African citizens stuck in Sudan have managed to cross the border out of the country.
They were stuck at the border and today eventually managed to cross over.

Countries have been rescuing their citizens as heavy fighting rages on.
Gift of the Givers Imtiaz Sooliman explained said the eight South Africans who were trapped on the Sudanese side of the border have finally gone through.

"The last South Africans left in a bus and then challenges started coming. The bus driver had epilepsy then the bus broke down," he said.
"To get to the border and fetch South Africans becomes more difficult. You require special permits, special conditions.”
