JOHANNESBURG - Wits University says it can't address protesting students' demands as they are based on untrue claims.
The SRC is demanding the university register over 6,000 students who have been financially excluded.
Wits spokesperson Shirona Patel says the university has never seen this list and questions its validity.
The Wits Students Representative Council says it will meet with management this weekend following escalated protests at the Braamfontein campus on Friday.
Protesting students want to end financial exclusions, more student accommodation, and higher residence allowances.
