HAMMANSKRAAL - Health Minister Joe Phaahla says more resources will be deployed in Hammanskraal where a cholera outbreak is sweeping the area.
A temporary medical centre has been set up and residents experiencing cholera-like symptoms have been urged to report to the facility immediately.

More than 20 people have died due to cholera in the area.
At the same time, some families are pleading with government to assist with burial costs.

Government has only pledged to support the affected families with psycho-social services but there's been no direct communication around financial support.
Meanwhile, the Health Department will continue providing health services in Kanana.
