Gauteng police are also hitting back at accusations they aren’t doing enough to fight crime in gang-affected areas.
Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni says parents must also play their part.
Mthombeni was giving an update on their work in neighbourhoods hard-hit by violent crime.
