Stage 6 blackouts from 8pm

JOHANNESBURG - Stage 6 power cuts will be implemented from 8pm on Sunday until 5am.

This is the result of numerous breakdowns and there is a possibility of further changes to the stages at short notice.

On Saturday, Eskom went from an indefinite Stage 4 to Stage 6 with little notice just before 8pm.

This was to replenish emergency generation reserves.
