Stage 5 blackouts until Tuesday

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom will implement Stage 3 power cuts from 5 AM on Tuesday.

This will be downgraded to Stage 4 from 4 PM until 5 AM on Wednesday and will be alternated until further notice.

The power utility says generating performance of the grid has improved after returning five units to service.

More units will be brought back to service later in the week.

The country was plunged into Stage 6 rolling blackouts at the weekend.
