JOHANNESBURG - Stage 3 blackouts will continue until 5am on Thursday.
In a statement, Eskom says its generation capacity is still constrained.
The power utility will give an update on Wednesday.
In the meantime, it's encouraging all South Africans to reduce electricity.
On a positive note, the first of seven generating units returned to service on Saturday evening.
The remaining units are hoped to return to service over the next eight days.
A generating unit each at Duvha, Kendal, Komati, Kusile, Matimba, Lethabo and Tutuka power stations was taken offline for repairs.
