JOHANNESBURG - The National Blood Service is calling on South Africans to visit its centres and donate blood.
The organisation says stock levels are critically low.
This as the demand for blood supply increases during the festive period.
Medical director Karin van den Berg says KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape are the most vulnerable.
"We are grateful that our repeat donors are coming back as often as they do, but we're working on broadening our first-timer donor base," she said.
