PRETORIA - Consumers should expect a bit of relief when it comes to tariff increases, says Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa.
This is because Eskom has become less reliant on diesel to power its electricity requirements.

The minister says the utility saved a massive R12 billion in diesel costs from April to October.
The aim now is to make Eskom an efficient electricity generator.
He was giving an update on Independent Power Producers on Monday.
