JOHANNESBURG - Tourism Minister Lindiwe Sisulu is expected to meet the SA Tourism Board on Saturday afternoon over the controversial R1-billion Tottenham Hotspur sponsorship deal.
Enver Duminy, Ravi Nadasen and Rosemary Anderson have resigned with immediate effect.
Nadasen cited moral reasons for his departure.
Sisulu has accepted the resignations and said the process of appointing replacements is already underway.
"Let me put it on record, president [Cyrill] Ramaphosa hasn’t spoken in person regarding this deal, we know there’s a pending meeting between the minister and the president," said Sisulu's spokesperson, Steve Motale.
"The minister is in the next few hours meeting with the board where she’s going to get all the facts. Hopefully, an announcement will be made after this meeting."
