CAPE TOWN - Municipal finances will be scrutinised in Parliament on Tuesday.
Auditor-General Tsakani Maluleke is set to brief the Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance.
It comes as financial and governance distress in several municipalities is impacting service delivery.
This month, Maluleke chastised mayors and speakers for failing in terms of accountability and transparency.
Maluleke says professionalising local government will help eliminate irregularities and clean up the rot.
