Security breaches at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital

JOHANNESBURG - Questions are being raised about security at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Joburg.

Two incidents just days apart have put patients' lives in danger.

In the first, 24 critical patients almost died when criminals cut copper pipes supplying oxygen to the ICU.

Then, days later, pipes feeding water into two theaters were also cut.

The DA and Nehawu are calling for probes into security contracts at all public hospitals in Gauteng.
