JOHANNESBURG - The Section 194 Committee looking into public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s fitness to hold office, says it supports the chairperson’s decision not to recuse himself.
Richard Dyantyi refused to recuse himself despite Mkhwebane’s constant demands to do so.

The outgoing public protector accuses Dyantyi of bias, bribery, and unfair treatment.
Committee members say the basis of Mkhwebane’s allegations is with law enforcement authorities and does not form part of the motion before it.
The Committee will meet tomorrow to consider its draft report on the proceedings, which have dragged on for months.
