JOHANNESBURG - The Secretary to Parliament says he is investigating the awarding of a contract to former Secretary Gengezi Mgidlana.
This is after news reports that Mgidlana's company, Afrocentric Markets Consultancy, was awarded a tender to conduct research.
Mgidlana was fired over allegations of maladministration in 2019.
Union Nehawu wants the tender to be declared null and void.
It says Mgidlana should have been immediately disqualified.
Current secretary, Xolile George, says remedial action will be undertaken should any wrongdoing be found.
