School 'space muffins' saga | Growing calls to vet school food vendors

JOHANESBURG - There are growing calls to vet food vendors at schools.

It follows the hospitalisation of 90 pupils in Soshanguve after eating muffins laced with an unknown substance.

The National Association of School Governing Bodies says municipalities must take the lead.

Three people were arrested and they appeared in court on Wednesday.

They face charges of attempted murder.
