DURBAN - Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga is intervening in the KwaZulu-Natal school nutrition programme saga.

She wants all documents proving that procurement processes were above board.
Motshekga has written to the provincial education department, informing them of her intervention.
She says circumstances that led to the failure to deliver food to over 5,000 schools must be investigated.
Meanwhile, KZN officials have also ordered a probe into the roll-out of the school feeding scheme in the province.
Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube says the investigation will look at the food distribution model and the quality of food supplied to schools. Dube-Ncube says there will be consequences if there's evidence of wrongdoing.
The probe will establish the extent of interruptions and produce a comprehensive report.
