GONCE - The Eastern Cape Education Department says it has managed to resolve the school nutrition programme debacle.

Education authorities have been criticised for failing to make payments to schools that use the feeding scheme, leaving thousands of pupils in dire straits.

The department has blamed the delay on schools in the province not verifying pupil numbers.
