SA’s water crisis | Will Giyani’s thirst ever be quenched?

GIYANI - Residents of Giyani will have piped water by December.

That's just the latest promises after nine long years of empty vows.

The Giyani Water Project was launched almost a decade ago but has not yet delivered water.

Now, the water board says the project is 61 percent complete and will be done by December.

The budget has increased from just under R500-million to over R3-billion.

A further R1-billion is needed to complete the project.
