KIMBERLEY - Pupils in the Northern Cape are thirsty for knowledge.
But that thirst often goes unquenched as schools are persistently shut due to water shortages.

This also results in teachers being forced to rush through the curriculum to catch up.
The provincial government is now planning to drill boreholes at all schools.
