SA’s water crisis | Repairs complete at Eikenhof substation

JOHANNESBURG - City Power has completed repairs at the Eikenhof substation and full supply has now been restored.

The substation experienced a total loss of supply on Monday evening.

It was due to a flash-over incident on one of the feederboards.

That impacted water supply to residents.

"The team worked over the night and during the day and really did well to cut down the time taken to restore power," said City Power's Isaac Mangena.

"We will release the findings of the cause of this problem so that we can deal with it going forward."
