SA's Water Crisis | JHB's Commando system 'highly constrained'

JOHANNESBURG - An emergency meeting between Johannesburg Water and the Water and Sanitation Ministry is taking place on Monday.

This is an effort to resolve the water crises in Gauteng.

Johannesburg's Commando system remains highly constrained.

It crashed on Sunday due to Rand Water diverting supply from the Eikenhof to the Palmiet system.

Residents are being urged to observe the Stage 2 water restrictions and not to use hosepipes to water gardens, wash cars or clean driveways.
