GQEBERHA - The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has received a R55-million rollover grant from Treasury to help mitigate a possible drought disaster.
Dam levels in the city are currently standing at 18.97 percent.
Mayor Retief Odendaal says the grant will help them avert Day Zero.
It will be used to boost water projects, including the Nooitgedacht water treatment works and groundwater resource schemes.
