The two accuse each other of misconduct, including racism, assault, and abuse of power.

Judges Matter says the Western Cape Judiciary can't continue under the clouded leadership.

Judges Matter's Alison Tilley said, "it is bad for the judiciary and its bad for those of us who care about the judiciary."

"Certainly what happening now is that because of the appeal that was lodged by Hlophe ....and of course in relations to other complaints against judge Hlophe the question is everbody's mind is when the president will make decision on his suspension."

"It is not just this complaint it is also another complaint between the two it put the Western Cape Court in a very difficult condition where [the] leadership is under cloud."
