SA’s electricity crisis | Stage 2 power cuts underway

JOHANNESBURG - After a brief reprieve, Eskom has implemented Stage 2 blackouts until 4pm Monday afternoon.  

Thereafter, Stage 3 power cuts will kick in until 5am on Tuesday.

The country will then move between Stage 1 and 2 for the rest of the week.

The utility says the need for Stage 3 is because of breakdowns and servicing due to planned maintenance.
