DURBAN - Several areas in KwaZulu-Natal have no electricity.

Eskom says heavy rains and strong winds cut off supply.

The worst-affected regions are the Northern and Southern coasts as well as the Midlands.

The power utility says technicians have been deployed but restoration may take longer than usual because the storms also affected roads.
