JOHANNESBURG - Eskom board chair Mpho Makwana has recommitted his board to support the work of the executives at the power utility.
Eskom and the Presidential Energy Crisis Committee are hosting a demand management Indaba.

Some of the country’s biggest energy users are there.
Makwana says their priority is to fix the system for improved availability.
"We've been quite advanced in the shortlisting on the new CEO of Eskom, such that we now have a short list of five candidates," Makwana said.
"There's meetings related to that that I've got to attend to.
"From a board perspective, we see this as part of a broader turnout programme we announced earlier this year."
