JOHANNESBURG - Eskom board chairperson Mpho Makwana says they have a draft turnaround plan on how to end load-shedding.
But they are waiting to get the full buy-in of all stakeholders before they publish that plan.
The Eskom board outlined the way forward for the utility following CEO Andre de Ruyter's resignation.
"We have a draft turnaround plan in terms of how soon we hope to end load-shedding," Makwana said.
"We're in key consultative engagements with shareholders and key principals to ensure that when we do publish such a turnaround plan, it's got the full buy-in and support of all stakeholders."
Makwana says they will be working on securing a new chief executive.
De Ruyter confirmed that he will be staying on until the end of March.
"I accepted the resignation and agreed with him to afford me the opportunity to embark on the consultative process," Makwana said.
