JOHANNESBURG - Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa reflected on the dire impact the electricity crisis is having on the economy.
Ramokgopa was briefing the media on his visits to several power stations last month.

"People are out of jobs, the economy is on its knees and businesses are closing, farmers can't produce," he said.
Ramokgopa also says high demand but low supply is the main cause of the country's electricity crisis.
He says he is working on closing that gap.
