CAPE TOWN - Scopa will sign a memorandum of understanding with the Special Investigating Unit on Wednesday.
It aims to strengthen their relationship in investigations into fruitless and wasteful expenditure of public funds.
Parliament's public accounts committee will then be able to refer matters to the investigating unit.
It says the unit will continue to prioritise these matters even after the dissolution of the Sixth Parliament.
In 2019, an agreement was reached to enable Scopa to refer cases for investigation.
