SAPS probe culpable homicide over Ekurhuleni bus crash

KEMPTON PARK - It's been revealed that the bus involved in Tuesday's fatal accident in Ekurhuleni did not have seatbelts.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after 14 people died. 

Dozens of injured passengers were sent to various hospitals for treatment of minor to serious injuries.

Questions have been raised about the bus' condition and whether the driver was speeding.

According to the Road Traffic Management Cooperation, video footage recorded by Sanral CCTV cameras is being analysed. 

Investigators are identifying the other vehicle allegedly involved in the events leading up to the crash.
