JOHANNESBURG - The SA Federation of Trade Unions is demonstrating outside the Public Enterprises Department.
It's unhappy that it's appealing a court ruling exempting police stations, hospitals, and schools from blackouts.

The government says it's impractical and even dangerous to exempt these facilities.
Saftu's Ruth Ntlkotse said, "we are gathered today as SAFTU to defend court ruling ...that we will defend the court ruling....it is applicable..."
"He says their lawyers are still busy with court papers. In other words that means court papers have not been filed. We want to see how far this will go."
