SADTU WC approaches the courts over teacher job cuts
CAPE TOWN - Sadtu in the Western Cape says it is waiting for a ruling after filing an application in the courts.
This move is intended to prevent the Western Cape Education Department from continuing with teacher job cuts, before disclosing the number of teachers each school will lose.

The union accuses the department of refusing to implement any of its recommendations to save jobs.
Activists, teachers, and parents who attended a meeting on the subject say they are forging ahead with strike action next week.
