USA - United States Congressman Troy Nehls has introduced a controversial new bill that would grant white, Afrikaans-speaking South Africans special refugee status in the US.
Titled the “Afrikaner Act”, the legislation proposes asylum for Afrikaners and their immediate families, citing claims of racial persecution in South Africa.
Nehls, along with former President Donald Trump, points to land expropriation laws as evidence - despite repeated assurances from the South African government that no such land seizures have occurred.
