JOHANNESBURG - The rate of unemployment has decreased to 31.9 percent in the third quarter of 2023.
Almost 16.8 million South Africans now have jobs, compared to 16.3-million in the second quarter of 2023.
The largest increases from the previous quarter in employment were recorded in finance, community and social services, agriculture and construction sectors.
Decreases were however recorded in manufacturing, mining, transport and utilities industries.
