JOHANNESBURG - Tourism minister Patricia De Lille said the resignations of some board members, as well as suspensions at South African Tourism are being looked into.
Three board members, Enver Duminy, Ravi Nadasen and Rosemary Anderson, resigned in February amid the controversial R1-billion Tottenham Hotspur sponsorship proposal.
Acting Chief Financial Officer Johan van der Walt was later suspended.
De Lille said, "in terms of the board in itself, I've received a number of questions from MPs about the composition of the board, the resignation of some of board members. That matter is receiving my attention, I will be engaging with the board to get their side as to what transpired."
"I didn't get any information from my predecessor as to what has happened with the replacement...so the whole composition of the board is still receiving my attention.. In terms of the suspended members, I still have to get a report about the reason for their suspension."
